Rutgers Prep — Summer '26 is officially on. Showtime Sports NJ opened the season with a loaded Sunday slate on June 14 — Men's Gold and the Women's Division both in action — before the Men's Silver Division tipped off Wednesday, June 17. One week in, we've already had overtime drama, a one-point heartbreaker, and a handful of scoring nights worth circling. Here's the recap, division by division.
Men's Gold Division — Sunday, June 14

Flint Tropics 85, The Turnover Bakery 83 (OT). The game of the week. Gage Daye poured in 35 points on six three-pointers, and the Tropics needed every one to survive overtime. Jaheim Lewis backed him with 27 points and six boards while Nas Amos ran the offense with seven assists and three steals. The Bakery had its chances — Josh White matched the heat with 27 and Isaiah Honis drilled a three in the extra period to make it 84-83 — but Daye iced it at the line.
Bearcats 98, Scari McDonalds 66. The week's highest point total, with five Bearcats in double figures. Shawn Summers Jr. (26), DJ Campbell (25 points, 9 rebounds), Adetokunbo Bakare (20) and Kyree Henry (20) were relentless. Scari McDonalds didn't fold — Larry Smith dropped 26 and Tyrel Davis posted a 20-point, 11-rebound double-double — but the Bearcats' depth was the difference.
RU 82, PTR 80. A second-half comeback for the books. Justin Morton went off for a game-high 31 points and Mario Gunn stuffed the sheet with 10 points and 15 rebounds, but PTR couldn't close. RU stormed back behind Aldon Muhammad's 27, and Matthew Slaby's late three (13 points) was the dagger. Justin Boston added 15.
Misfits 63, Mudita Rec 45. Ray Zamloot set the tone early with 21 points on four threes and the Misfits never trailed for long. Myles Marabuto and Alex Grospe chipped in nine apiece, and the Misfits owned the glass 42-29.
Women's Division — Sunday, June 14

Prime Time 53, Ballsohard 37. One for the highlight reel: Amanda Carney knocked down eight three-pointers on her way to 24 points. Erika Jones filled the box score with 12 points, two blocks and two steals. Grace O'Connor's nine paced Ballsohard.
Lords of the Rim 75, Avengers 40. Mel Daley was a one-woman wrecking crew — 25 points, 12 rebounds and three steals. Gabrielle Ziegenbalg (15) and Debra Hill (15 points, 14 rebounds) controlled the boards all afternoon. Nicole Metzel's 10 led the Avengers.
Splash Sisters 53, Troublemakers 50. The tightest women's opener. Danaejah Grant was sensational with 30 points and 10 rebounds and the Splash Sisters needed all of it. The Troublemakers surged late — Rachel Kuhl's three made it 50-51 — but free throws down the stretch sealed it. Faith Ashby led the rally with 16.
Lady Lions 49, Willy P 44. Amanda Baylock's 18 points (three triples, seven rebounds) carried the Lady Lions, and Reghan Bice came up biggest late with a clutch three and key free throws. Jada Jacobs and Matti Chiera each had 10 for Willy P. SheHoop and Club Passion were on bye.
Men's Silver Division — Wednesday, June 17

Beach Boyz 74, Pro Ballers 73. One point. That's all that separated these two in the week's nail-biter. Jon Flete's 21 led a balanced Beach Boyz attack with Brandon Sessoms (20) and Ram Shabazz (19). Jackson Morrison was brilliant in defeat — 18 points, four threes and five steals — and his late triple cut it to 73-74, but the Ballers ran out of time.
New Jersey Buckets 68, Fast Break 60. Balance beat boom. Keshawn Peterson (20), Kadian Dawkins (18 points, 10 rebounds) and Yvelt Exil (16 points, 12 rebounds, six assists) powered a complete Buckets effort. Jordan Summers was electric for Fast Break with a game-high 31, but didn't get enough support.
732ers 72, Team Select 63. William Hall (20 points, 10 rebounds) and Julius Nadarajah (20 points, four threes) gave the 732ers a dynamite one-two punch, with Rob Bynes adding 16 and Louis Crozier grabbing 11 boards. Jared Pearson's 20 led Team Select.
