## Why Showtime Is the League to Play In

There are plenty of places to find a run in New Jersey. Most of them are just that, a run. Showtime Sports NJ was built to feel like a real league from the moment you check in for your first game.

**The games are legit.** Certified referees, official scorekeepers, a game clock, a shot clock, and [official league rules](https://showtimesportsnj.com/info/league-rules?hsLang=en) that everyone plays by. No arguing calls, no waiting on next.

**Your stats follow you.** Points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks are tracked every game and published for the whole league. Standings matter, league leaders are posted weekly, and playoff races get real.

**You become part of the story.** Weekly written recaps, photo coverage, and video highlights on YouTube. Drop 30 one night and the whole league is reading about it the next day.

**You join the Showtime Family.** We were founded in 2022 and grew fast for one reason. People come for the basketball and stay for the community. Teammates and rivals become friends you see every week, season after season.

## Find Your Division

Good games start with the right matchup. We run three divisions so everyone from former college players to weekend hoopers gets competitive, evenly matched basketball every week. And we never stop building. We've run a draft league, a 30+ league is on the way, and co-ed is on our radar too.

### Men's Gold

**Best for:** High-level competition. Former college players, elite high school alumni, and serious hoopers who want to be tested every possession.

- The most competitive runs in Central Jersey
- Full stat tracking and league leaders
- Playoffs, a finals MVP, and a championship

[Join Men's Gold](https://showtimesportsnj.com/league-registration?hsLang=en)

### Women's Division

**Best for:** Women who want real, organized competition. One of the only dedicated women's adult basketball divisions in New Jersey.

- Certified refs, published stats, weekly recaps
- Playoffs and a championship of its own
- Home of 30 point nights and finals MVPs

[Join the Women's League](https://showtimesportsnj.com/league-registration?hsLang=en)

### Men's Silver

**Best for:** Competitive but accessible. Solid players who want great weekly runs without facing former D1 guards every trip down the floor.

- Evenly matched, high energy games
- Full stat tracking and league leaders
- Playoffs and a championship of its own

THE COMPLETE GUIDE

## Everything You Need to Know Before You Sign Up

### How our seasons work

We run multiple seasons per year, and each one includes 6 to 7 regular season games plus playoffs for teams that qualify. Games are played weekly. Rosters carry 8 to 12 players, everyone has to be 18 or older, and we provide league shirts or jerseys every season. To be eligible for playoffs, you need to be on the original roster and play at least 2 games. The full details are in our [official league rules](https://showtimesportsnj.com/info/league-rules?hsLang=en).

### How to join without a team

Don't have a team who can commit to a season? No problem. Individual players can register as free agents. When we have enough free agents, we build a team out of the available players. Otherwise we work to place you on an existing roster that needs depth. Placement depends on team availability, so the earlier you sign up before a season, the better your odds. It's also honestly the best way to meet people who hoop at your level.

### What registration includes

Your registration covers certified referees, official scorekeepers, quality gym time, league shirts or jerseys, full stat tracking with published [standings and league leaders](https://app.legendsofrec.com/league/CZuYSMSAFaRNWWtc8), playoffs, and season long coverage. That means weekly written recaps, photos, and video highlights on our [YouTube channel](https://www.youtube.com/@showtimesportsnj). Current pricing for the upcoming season is always posted on the [league registration page](https://showtimesportsnj.com/league-registration?hsLang=en).

### Women's adult basketball in New Jersey

Most adult leagues in NJ are men's only. Women who want organized, refereed, stat tracked basketball have very few options, especially post-college players who still want real competition. Showtime Sports NJ runs one of the only dedicated women's adult divisions in the state, with the same premium experience as the men's leagues. Some of the biggest performances in our weekly recaps come out of the women's division, including 30 point nights.

### Where we play

We typically host our leagues in Somerset and Middlesex County. Over the years we've played at Rutgers Prep, Raritan Valley Community College, Bound Brook Rec, Bound Brook High School, and gyms in Piscataway. Wherever the season lands, you can count on a quality full court gym. Our players commute from Union County, Essex County, and even up from the Shore, because a premium league experience is worth the drive. Current season locations and schedules are always on the [registration page](https://showtimesportsnj.com/league-registration?hsLang=en).

### A league that keeps growing

We're always cooking up new ways to play. We've already run a draft league where captains picked their squads from scratch, a 30+ league is on the way, and co-ed is on our radar. That's what happens when a league is built around its community. Our players don't just show up for games, they shape where Showtime goes next. Got an idea for the league? [We want to hear it](https://showtimesportsnj.com/info/contact-us?hsLang=en).

### Your first season, honestly

If you haven't played organized ball since high school or college, here's the truth. The first couple weeks, you'll be sore. Everyone is. Your timing comes back before your legs do. By the middle of the season, chemistry forms and the standings start to matter. Then comes the playoff push, when every possession counts, and finally playoffs and a championship worth bragging about all year. Along the way you'll show up in the weekly stat leaders, [game recaps](https://showtimesportsnj.com/blog?hsLang=en), and highlight videos.

### Frequently asked questions
