Men's Gold Division — Week 7 (Sun, Aug 2)

Blog images-Aug-08-2026-02-32-42-5836-PM

Club Passion 78, Misfits 77 (OT). Player of the Game Akrum Ahemed sent this game into overtime. On the day Ahemed went supernova for 32 points on seven three-pointers, and Club Passion needed every last one of them. The Misfits refused to go quietly and getting within a single possession, but Brandon Yale's free throws in the extra period iced a one-point classic. Daniel Yarus (23), Ray Zamloot (17) and Alex Grospe (15) powered a furious Misfits charge that came up an eyelash short.

Bearcats 89, The Turnover Bakery 68. The front-runners kept rolling. Player of the Game Shawn Summers Jr. poured in 20 with a trio of steals, Kyree Henry ran the show with 17, and Jahmir Payoute (15), Adetokunbo Bakare (12) and Dj Campbell (11) kept the scoreboard humming as the Bearcats built a 44–33 halftime lead and cruised. The Bakery got a huge day from the Honis brothers — Isaiah 23, Jaden 22 — plus 20 from Jordan Myers, but never seriously threatened the cushion.

Mudita Rec 81, Flint Tropics 65. Mudita's balanced attack was too much to handle. Player of the Game Doug Edert caught fire for 21, Daryl Banks III matched him with 22, and Lamar Austin (12) and Ibn Savage (10) kept the runs coming as Mudita turned a 40–37 halftime edge into a comfortable finish. Parker Dortch (24) and Gage Daye (18) did the heavy lifting for the Tropics.

PTR and Scari McDonalds drew byes.

Women's Division — Week 7 (Sun, Aug 2)

Blog images-Aug-08-2026-02-38-28-4080-PM

Lords of the Rim 76, Willy P 66 (OT). Tied at 66 after regulation, the Lords slammed the door with a jaw-dropping 10–0 overtime to grab their biggest win of the summer. Player of the Game Caileigh Walsh was unstoppable with 28, and Mel Daley (15) and Kimi Sayson (13) closed it out. Willy P — who actually led by three at the break — got 17 from Matti Chiera and 14 from Menna Hafiz, and will be left wondering how this one got away.

Troublemakers 58, Avengers 49. Player of the Game Briana Lee did Briana Lee things, dropping 25 as the Troublemakers led from start to finish and moved squarely into the thick of the playoff race. Rachel Kuhl chipped in 10. Nicole Metzel kept the Avengers within range with a game-high 21 and Taylor Jeffers added 15, but the Troublemakers clamped down after halftime.

Splash Sisters 48, Ballsohard 43. A rock fight between two evenly matched sides. Player of the Game Danaejah Grant scored 18 and Courtney Edmundo added 15 as the Splash Sisters protected a one-point halftime lead the rest of the way. Mahogany Jenkins was magnificent in defeat with a game-high 21 for Ballsohard.

Lady Lions 67, SheHoop 46. The Lady Lions jumped out 35–20 by the break and never looked back. Jineen Ayyash led all scorers with 23 and Shayne Eldeidge buried four threes for 16, but the Player of the Game nod went to Brooke McFadden, whose all-around night (14 points and her usual work on the glass) anchored both ends. SheHoop got 10 apiece from Quorea Pearyer, Asia Rivera and Justina Cabezas but are still chasing win No. 1.

Prime Time were idle on a bye, keeping their perfect record intact.

Standouts of the Week

Akrum Ahemed (Club Passion, Men's Gold) — 32 points on seven three-pointers to stun the Misfits in overtime and flip Club Passion's season on its head.

Caileigh Walsh (Lords of the Rim, Women's) — 28 points to force overtime and ignite a 10–0 finish in the Lords' signature win of the summer.

The Playoff Picture — Seeding & Scenarios

Next Sunday, Aug 9, is the final week of the regular season. The top 6 in each division make the playoffs. Tiebreakers: head-to-head (winner of the regular-season matchup), then total points.

Men's Gold (top 6)

1. Bearcats 5-1 · 2. The Turnover Bakery 4-2 · 3. Scari McDonalds 4-2 · 4. Flint Tropics 3-3 · 5. Mudita Rec 3-3 · 6. Club Passion 3-3 (Out: Misfits 3-4, PTR 1-5; RU withdrawn)

  • Bearcats close vs. withdrawn RU (forfeit win) → lock the No. 1 seed.
  • Scari vs. Turnover Bakery is a seeding game — both in; winner takes No. 2 at 5-2.
  • Flint Tropics: beat PTR and you're in.
  • Club Passion vs. Mudita — winner in. If Mudita wins, Club Passion sneaks in on head-to-head over Misfits (won 78–77 on Aug 2) → Misfits out. If Club Passion wins, Misfits are back in on head-to-head over Mudita (won 63–45 in Week 1) → Mudita out.

Women's (top 6)

1. Prime Time 6-0 · 2. Troublemakers 5-1 · 3. Splash Sisters 4-2 · 4. Lady Lions 4-3 · 5. Avengers 3-3 · 6. Ballsohard 3-3 (Out: Lords 3-4, Willy P 0-6, SheHoop 0-6)

  • Prime Time (vs. Avengers) can finish perfect and lock No. 1.
  • Troublemakers (vs. Ballsohard) are in — playing for No. 2.
  • Splash Sisters (vs. Lords) are in; this game counts for Splash's seeding only — it's Lords' extra 8th game and does NOT count for Lords.
  • Lady Lions (idle, 4-3) have clinched.
  • The final two seeds come down to the 3-win teams: Avengers (3-3), Ballsohard (3-3) and Lords (locked at 3-4). Avengers/Ballsohard must win to reach 4-3 and pull clear; a loss ties them with Lords at 3-4, settled by head-to-head then points — so the Lords stay alive.
  • Willy P & SheHoop have been eliminated.
